# Commitment Management

### DETAILED PROCEDURE

### Create a new commitment
To add a new commitment, select the menu commitment on the left then click **Add** to the right.
A new window will open, allowing you to complete the required information.

### Defining the commitment details
Select the **commitment type**, **registration date**, **start and end dates**, and **payment method**.
Next, enter the payment information, such as the **next payment date**, **amount**, and **frequency**.
If needed, you can also specify a **number of payments** or a **goal**.

### Associating the occasion and accounting information
Select the appropriate **occasion** and **activity** for this commitment.
Depending on your organization's needs, you may also associate an **accounting allocation**, **accounting project**, or other accounting-related information.
Indicate whether a **tax receipt** should be issued for the payments.

### Select the client
Choose the client associated with the commitment and, if applicable, the primary contact.
Review the contact information displayed and add notes if necessary.
You can also modify the information that will be used when issuing receipts.

### Add additional information
Depending on your situation, you may add a **third-party client**, **solicitor**, **recognition program**, and characteristics to the commitment or its transactions.
These steps are optional and can be completed according to your organization's processes.

### Complete the commitment entry
Once all information has been completed and validated, click **Finish** to save the commitment to the database.
