Add a transaction from the client file
A transaction can be added directly from a client’s file in Prodon Web.
This method allows you to quickly create a transaction while automatically linking the client’s information.
Access the client file
- Open the Clients section from the main menu.
- Search for the desired client using the search bar.
- Once you locate the client, click on their row to open their file.
In the client file, select “Add a transaction.”
Enter the transaction information
Occasion
- Specify the occasion and the activity associated with the transaction.
- If needed, adjust the accounting allocation and other optional details.
- Proceed to the next step by clicking Next.
Amount and payment method
- Enter the transaction amount.
- Select the appropriate payment method and add a reference if needed.
- Choose the receipt and acknowledgement options.
- Click Next to continue.
Client
- Review or update the client’s information.
- For a transaction linked to a company, search for the contact to associate.
- If necessary, add a client comment (not visible in Prodon Classic).
- Then click Next or Complete, depending on your needs.
Optional information (as needed)
Third party (optional)
- Complete the information about the third‑party donor if applicable.
- Click Next or Complete.
Notes (optional)
- Add an administrative note.
- This note will be visible in Prodon Classic for internal reference.
- Then click Next or Complete.
Solicitor (optional)
- Select the solicitor associated with the transaction, if applicable.
- Proceed to the next step or complete.
Recognition program (optional)
- If recognition for the transaction should be assigned to another client, select that client at this step.
- This ensures that the correct person is acknowledged in the recognition program.
- Complete the transaction by clicking Complete.
